. Nowadays the tendency to describe slim body as the perfect body has been spread. This tendency affects lives of many women, and also their perception of life. Self-conception depends a lot on how others see us, and how important for us is that view, and it is developing by our interaction with society generally.
The goal of this research is to find out, how the Self-conception is related with the body-image. During this research attempts have been made to answer those questions: what are the differences for evaluating body-image between women in different statuses of relationship; what are the differences in indexes of Self-conception between women in different statuses of relationship; is there a relation between Self-conception and body-image between women in different statuses of relationship; are there any differences between Self-conception and body-image for women in different statuses of relationship?
99 respondents took part in this research – women, aged between 18-30 – they were separated respectively in two groups – in a relationship for at least one year, and without any relationship at least one year. Women represented different levels of education, different categories of hight and weight. There have been used two surveys in this research – Survey of Self-conception, and Survey of perception of body-image.
Results of this research show, that statistically there are not important differences for Self-conception indexes and evaluating body-image between the both selected groups. There is stastistically important relation between Self-conception and evaluating body-image for women in different statuses of relationship. There are no statistically important differences between Self-conception and body-image for women in different statuses of relationship.
