Empātijas līmeņa dzimumatšķirības vardarbīgiem pusaudžiem.

Abstract

Pētījuma mērķis ir izanalizēt literatūru un veikt pētījumu par empātijas līmeņa dzimumatšķirībām vardarbīgiem pusaudžiem. Pētījuma jautājums ir noskaidrot, vai pastāv empātijas līmeņa dzimumatšķirības starp vardarbīgiem pusaudžiem. Pētījuma papildjautājums ir noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp pusaudžu verbālās un fiziskās vardarbības un empātijas izpausmēm. Pētījuma respondenti - 30 meitenes un 30 zēni, kuri izturas vardarbīgi. Grupu dalībnieku vecums ir no 11 – 14 gadiem. Pētījuma metodes: „Varmākas/upura aptaujas anketa” (Revised Olweus B/V Questionnaire, 1993. D.Olweus) un „Emocionālās empātijas aptauja” (The Questinnaire Heasure of Emotional Empathy, Mehrabian & Epstein, 1972). Pētījuma rezultātā tika konstatēs, ka nepastāv dzimumatšķirības empātijas izpausmju līmeņos, izņemot empātijas aptaujas apakšskalā - izteikta emocionālā atsaucība. Atbildot uz pētījuma papildjautājumu, rezultāti liecina, ka pastāv saistība starp verbālo vardarbību un izpratni par citu emociju ietekmi, aizkustinājumu redzot citus pozitīvu un negatīvu emociju pieredzes rezultātā un vēlmi būt kontaktā ar tiem, kuriem ir problēmas. Tas parādā, ka būtu jāvelta vienlīdz liela vērība pusaudžu empātijas attīstīšanai gan meitenēm, gan zēniem.

The goal of this study was to analyze the literature and receive empirical data about the gender differences on the empathy level of violent adolescents. The main research question of this study was to find out, if there are gender differences on the empathy level of violent adolescents. The second question was to ascertain if there is a relationship between expression of verbal and physical violation and empathy in adolescents. 60 adolescents participated in this study, 30 of them were girls and other 30 were boys, all of them were described as violent. The ages of participators were from 11 to 14 year old. Measures used in this study: D. Olweus B/V Questionnaire, Revised ( Olweus, 1993); The Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy (Mehrabian & Epstein, 1972). Empirical data showed that overall there are no gender differences in the level of expression of empathy; however some gender differences were found in the Questionnaire Measure of Emotional Empathy’s subscale- Marked Emotional Responsiveness. The answer for the second question of this study is that empirical data indicated that there is relationship between verbal violation and understanding of influence of other emotions, being moved by seeing other positive and negative emotional experiences and desire to be in contact with those who have problems. It shows that there should be given equal emphasis to develop empathy for adolescent girls and boys.
