Atslēgas vārdi: fiziskā pašefektivitāte, vispērējā pašefektivitāte, pašvērtējums, regulāra fiziska aktivitāte The aim of the research was to examine the predictive role of the Physical Self-Efficacy, the Global Self-Efficacy and the Self-Esteem in connection with a regular physical activity, as well as to inquire the interactions of the above mentioned conceptions. The participants of the study were persons in the age group of 25 -35 (N=161) who feel an exigency to practice physical activities and whose professional occupation is not related with an increased physical load. The predic role of the Physical Self-Efficacy (the person’s confidence to his or her ability to overcome obstacles in relation with the performance of regular physical activities) was the most important, as the results of the research showed. The Physical-Efficacy could explain more than one third of the regular physical activity variations. The role of the Global Self-Efficacy (the person’s confidence to overcome difficulties in general) and the Self-Esteem was important, although to a lesser extent than the role of the Physical-Efficacy. The Global Self-Efficacy and the Self-Esteem accounted for involvement in physical activities at about the same degree. However, the contribution of the Global Self-Esteem in the predication of regular physical activity was statistically considerably greater. Under the research, the Physical Self-Efficacy has an important mediation role between the Self-Esteem and regular physical activity, as well as between the Global Self-Efficacy and regular physical activity. The Global Self- Efficacy was closer related with the Self-Esteem than with the specific Self-Efficacy of Physical confidence.
The results of the research comply with the statements of the Social Cognition theory on the role of the specific Self-Efficacy in the predication of activity and with the ideas of the scientists who consolidate the Self-Esteem, the specific Self-Efficacy and the Global Self-Efficacy in one undivided pattern of mutual impact.
