Autoritārisma ietekme latviešu literatūras kritikā sabiedriskajos un literārajos mēnešrakstos (1934-1940)

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izvērtēt potenciālās autoritārisma ietekmes latviešu literatūras kritikas attīstībā, balstoties uz vērtējumiem, kas publicēti Latvijā iznākošajos mēnešrakstos laika posmā no 1934.gada 15.maija līdz 1940.gada 17.jūnijam. Autore īpaši vēlējās pārlūkot vispārpieņemtos priekšstatus par cenzūras noteicošo lomu un/vai nacionāli pozitīvo elementu pieprasījumu jaunrades veicēju izpausmēs. Tā kā tieši literatūras kritiķi ir tie, kas vērtē un savā veidā nosaka jaunrades attīstību, tad, lūkojoties no viņu rakstos paustajiem uzskatiem, ir mēģināts izvērtēt pozitīvisma kā literatūras virziena noteicošo lomu, nacionālās ideoloģijas sapludināšanas procesu ar literatūras kritiku un visbeidzot – sniegt ieskatu, cik lielas iespējas izpausties bija tam, ko vienā vārdā var raksturot kā „citādais”.

The aim of this work is to analyse the effect of the potential authoritarianism on the development of the Latvian literature criticism based on the assessments that were published in Latvian monthly editions in the period from 15 May 1934 until 17 June 1940. The author especially wanted to look at the generally adopted concepts of the determinant role of the censorship and/or manifestations of the nationally positive elements in the creative work of that time. As literary critics are the ones who evaluate and interpret the developement of the creative work, by looking at the points of view expressed in their articles, author has attempted to analyse the importance of the positivism as the literature direction, as well as look at the merge process of the national ideology with the literature criticismm and lastly to provide insight into the weight of opportunities to express themselves for what can be described as „different”.
