Karadarbība Latvijas teritorijā un pierobežā 1700.g. februāris-1702. gada janvāris.

Abstract

Apritot 300. gadskārtai kopš Rīga un visa Vidzeme Lielā Ziemeļu kara rezultātā nonāca Krievijas Impērijas sastāvā diemžēl jāsecina, ka šis Latvijai tik ļoti nozīmīgais notikums vietējā historiogrāfijā gandrīz nav pētīts un apkopojošs darbs par to Latvijā nav pieejams. Šī darba mērķis bija izveidot apkopojošu pētījumu par 1700. g. 11. februāra – 1702. g. janvāra militārajām aktivitātēm Latvijas teritorijā un tās pierobežā. Mērķis tika sasniegts, un izrādījās, ka šajā laika posmā var runāt par trīs lielām notikumu grupām: 1)Rīgas blokādi un ar to saistītajiem notikumiem, 2)zviedru armijas 1701. g. militārajām darbībām un 3)karadarbību Vidzemes – Igaunijas pierobežā. Nācās secināt, ka historiogrāfijā šie notikumi bieži ir apskatīti fragmentāri un kontekstā, tādēļ būtu nepieciešams veikt specializētus pētījumus par šo tēmu.

This summer marks 300 year anniversary since Riga and whole of Vidzeme in the result of the Great Northern War were incorporated in Russian empire. Unfortunately one can conclude that so significant event in history of Latvia has hardly been studied by local researchers and that no local monographs dedicated to this event are available. The thesis was aimed to create research on military activities in territory of Latvia and its neighborhood from February 1700 to January 1702. The objective was achieved and it turned out that one can speak of three major groups of events during this period: 1) blockade of Riga and events related to it, 2) operations of Swedish main army during year 1701 and 3) war in border area of Vidzeme and Estonia. It was concluded that in historiography these events often are examined fragmentary and in context, therefore it is necessary to carry out specific studies on this topic.
