„Smiltnieku” māja Ventspils apkārtnes piepilsētas ciemu kontekstā no 1875. gada līdz 1921.gadam

Abstract

Ventspils piepilsētas ciemu veidošanās sākums attiecināms uz 19.gs. vidu, kad piepilsētas lauku teritorijās apmetās tie iedzīvotāji, kuri strādāja darbos pilsētā. Vislielākās pārmaiņas aizsākās 19.gs. beigās, kad, līdz ar Ventspils ostas modernizāciju, strauji attīstījās pilsētas politiskā un ekonomiskā dzīve. No 1881. gada līdz 1914. gadam pilsētas iedzīvotāju skaits pieauga par vairāk kā desmit tūkstošiem. Paralēli norisinājās intensīva piepilsētas ciemu izveidošanās, gan Ventas upes ietekas kreisajā, gan tās labajā krastā – Pārventā. Šie ciemi mūsdienās administratīvi iekļauti pilsētas sastāvā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt bij. “Smiltnieku” mājas vēsturi Ventspils apkārtnes piepilsētas ciemu kontekstā no 1875. gada līdz 1921. gadam. “Smiltnieku” māja līdz 2008. gada pavasarim atradās vienā no centrālajiem Pārventas ciemiem – Strīķu ciemā. 2008. gada pavasarī māja tika demontēta pārvešanai uz Ventspils Piejūras brīvdabas muzeju, bet kopš 2009. gada pavasara „Smiltnieku” māja kā muzeja eksponāts atvērta apmeklētājiem. Tēmas izpētes rezultātā secināts, ka Pārventas centrālās daļas ciemi izveidojās ļoti īsā laika periodā no 19.gs. vidus līdz 20.gs. sākumam. Tik intensīvu Pārventas ciemu attīstību sekmēja 19./20.gs. mijas Ventspils ostas modernizācija. Līdz ar ostas attīstību, Ventas upes ietekas labajā krastā, pavērās plašas darba iespējas. Pārventas ciemos aizvien vairāk ienāca iedzīvotāji no laukiem, lielākoties no Ventspils apriņķa. Apbūve Pārventā veidojās tiešā piepilsētas ietekmē. 1875. gadā celtās „Smiltnieku” mājas izvietojums un saimniecības ēku plānojums ir raksturīgs piepilsētas ciemu apbūvei. Līdz ar 19./20. gs. mijas Pārventas ciema straujo veidošanos, daudzveidīgāks kļuva iedzīvotāju sociālais sastāvs, kurš ietekmēja arī Pārventas apbūves veidošanos. 20.gs. sākumā Pārventa jau bija izveidojusies kā apdzīvota priekšpilsēta ar noteiktu plānojumu ciemos un sazarotu ielu tīklu, kuras centrālo daļu veidoja Strīķu ciems un Čikstiņciems. 1921. gadā Pārventas ciemi, līdz ar Ventas upes ietekas kreisā krasta ciemiem gar Kuldīgas ceļu un Ostgalu, tika administratīvi iekļauti pilsētas sastāvā.

The beginning of formation of suburban villages of Ventspils neighbourhood is related to the middle of the 19th century, when the inhabitants worked in town made their home in suburban rural areas. The biggest changes began at the end of the 19th century when, along with the Ventspils sea port modernization, the political and economical life of the town was rapidly developed. Since 1881 to 1914, the number of inhabitants of the town had increased by more than ten thousand people. Parallel to this, an intensive formation of suburban villages was taken place on both sides of the estuary of the river Venta the left bank and the right bank called Parventa. Today these villages are administratively included in the town as its part. The paper aims to study the former history of the house of Smiltnieki in the context of suburban villages of Ventspils neighbourhood since 1875 to 1921. The house of Smiltnieki was located in one of the central villages of Parventa - Striku village, up to the spring of 2008 when the house was demounted to be removed to Ventspils Seaside Open-Air Museum. Since spring 2009 the house of Smiltnieki is opened to visitors as a museum exhibit. As the result of the study subjects it was concluded that the villages of the central part of Parventa were developed in a very short period of time, from the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. Such an intensive development of Parventa`s villages was facilitated by modernization of the Ventspils port at the crossroads of the 19th and 20th centuries. Along with the port modernization, wide opportunities for the job were provided on the right bank of the river Venta. More and more people from countryside, mostly from Ventspils district, came in the villages of Parventa. Building in Parventa was formed under direct influence of suburban development. The placement of the house of Smiltnieki built in 1875 and design of the household outbuildings is typical for housing of suburban villages. Together with the rapid development of Parventa`s villages at the crossroads of the 19th and 20th centuries, the more diversified became the social structure of the population which influenced the development of rural building of Parventa as well. At the beginning of the 20th century Parventa had already developed as a residential suburb with a certain planning in its villages and the ramified road network with the villages Striku and Cikstinciems forming the central part of the network. In 1921 Parventa`s villages, alongside with the villages of the left bank of the river Venta along the road of Kuldiga and Ostgals were administratively included in the town structure.
