LSDSP darbība trimdā 1944-1990.

Abstract

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt – cik produktīva bija LSDSP darbība trimdā aplūkojamajā laika periodā (1944 – 1990). Pētījums hronoloģiski sākas ar LSDSP biedru došanos trimdā 1944. g. – 1945. g. un beidzas ar ilggadējā trimdas sociāldemokrātu vadītāja un personas, ar ko okupētajā Latvijā asociēja LSDSP ĀK darbību, Bruno Kalniņa nāvi 1990. g. Skaitā nelielā, bet ļoti aktīvā trimdas sociāldemokrātu politiskā organizācija bija kļuvusi par nerimstošu padomju propagandas uzbrukumu objektu. Ar vislielāko intensitāti sociāldemokrāti komunistiskajā presē tika apkaroti 1972. g. (laikā, kad Rietumos parādījās „17 latviešu komunistu vēstule”) un 1985. g. (laikā, kad noritēja „BBMK” brauciens). Tiesa, B. Kalniņa ieguldījumu trimdas darbā aizēnoja vairāki agrākās biogrāfijas dati, īpaši sadarbība ar komunistiskajiem okupantiem 1940. g.

The aim of this final paper is to explore how productive the activity of the LSDWP was during the exile period from 1944 until 1990. This research chronologically starts with the departure of the members of LSDWP in 1944 – 1945 and finishes with the departure of the leader of the LSDWP as well as the departure of the persons who were linked with LSDWP Foreign Committee in occupied Latvia and the death of Bruno Kalnins in 1990. LSDWP’s organization, which was small in numbers but very active in exile, became the object of sustained Soviet propaganda. LSDWP was criticized the most by the Soviet media in 1972 (when "The 17 Latvian Communist Protest Letter" became available in the West) and in 1985 (during the trip of “BPFC”). However, Bruno Kalnins work in exile was overshadowed by his earlier life which included cooperation with communist occupants in 1940.
