Krusta simbols 14.-18.gs. Latvijas teritorijas arheoloģiskajā materiālā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā analizēti Latvijas teritorijas 14.-18. gs. arheoloģiskajā materiālā atrastie krustveida piekariņi, sniedzot jaunus tipoloģiskos, hronoloģiskos un semantiskos skaidrojumus. Krustveida piekariņi tipoloģizēti, iedalot tos 3 tipos, vairākos variantos un apakšvariantos. Darba gaitā konstatēts, ka 14.-15. gs. dominē vēlajā dzelzs laikmetā raksturīgie Grieķu tipa piekariņi, paralēli tam, tiek lietoti arī Rombveida tipa piekariņi. Sākot ar 16. gs. Latvijas teritorijā dominē Latīņu tipa piekariņi. Piekariņu semantika analizēta apbedīšanas tradīciju kontekstā, konstatējot, ka 14. – 15.gs. vērojama kristīgās un pirmskristīgās krusta izpratnes koeksistence, savukārt sākot ar 17. gs. krustveida piekariņi lietoti kā kristietības simboli.

Bachelor paper has analyzed archaeological material found on the cross pendants in the Latvian territory 14thto 18thcentury, providing additional typological, chronological and semantic explanations. Cruciform pendants are typologed to allocate them into 3 types, several variants and sub-variants. This research has concludes that in 14thto 15th century domains by the Late Iron Age Greek type chains, in parallel there are used also rhombus type pendants. In Latvian territory from 16thcentury domains the Latin-type chains. Semantic analysis of pendants have been analyzed in the context of burial traditions, to define that the 14th- 15thcentury observed in the Christian and pre-Christian coexistence of understanding the cross, but from 17thcentury cross pendants used already as symbols of Christianity.
