Teksta attēla segmentācija

Abstract

Šis darbs ir izstrādāts par tēmu Teksta attēla segmentācija, kas ir pirmais posms dažādu teksta gabalu pārnešanai no papīra uz elektronisko formātu, saglabājot iespēju brīvi mainīt dokumentu saturu. Tā kā mūsdienu produkti nepiedāvā pietiekami labu teksta apstrādi zemas izšķirtspējas attēliem, nolēmu aprakstīt teorētisku modeli, kas varētu būt noderīgs šādu teksta attēlu segmentācijai. Manis piedāvātā risinājuma programmas veidā realizētā daļa ir devusi pietiekami labus rezultātus, tādēļ uzskatu, ka šis darbs ir pierādījums tam, ka arī zemas izšķirtspējas gadījumā var veikt kvalitatīvu teksta atpazīšanu. Šī darba galvenās daļas ir šībrīža stāvokļa apraksts, teksta segmentācijas un tās pirmsapstrādes metožu apraksts, teorētiskā teksta segmentācijas modeļa apraksts, kā arī rezultāti un secinājumi.

This paper is written about „Text image segmentation” that is first part of process during transfer of text from paper to electronical format at the same time keeping possibility to change transferred text. Nowadays products do not produce too good results in text recogniton of low resolution images. I decided to describe theoretical model of text segmentation, that could be usefull for solving this problem. Program based on my theoretical models part of primary segmentation produced pretty good results so in my oppinoin this paper is proof that low resolution text images can be properly segmented for further use. Main parts of this paper are description of nowadays situtation, description of methods for text segmentation and its preliminary treatment, part with theorethical model for text segemntation and also results and conclusions.
