Atslēgas vārdi: ezeru nogulumi, RFS analīze, elementu sadalījums The Bachelor Thesis is devoted to estimate element distribution in Liepaja Lake sediment that are affected by industrial activities in northern part and agricultural activities in southern parts of the lake. Element concentrations of sediments were determined using the method of X-ray analysis. The obtained results were compared with elements clarks (world avergae concentrations of sediments) and element concentrations of sediments of Latvia waterbodies. The geoacumulation index and enrichment factor were calculated. The research shows that that sediments of Liepaja Lake northern part contains the following elements Ba, Cu, Fe, K, Pb, Rb, Ti, Zn, Cr, Th un Y in the higher concentrations than in the sediments of southern and central parts of the lake. The obtained data show that the concentrations of As, Ca, Cl, S, Y, P, Fe K, Mn, Ni, V and Sr are higher in sediment fraction <50 Ām than the concentrations of those elements in fraction 50-100 Ām. Theoretical part deals with a rewiev of Liepaja Lake, methods of chemical elements’s analysis, formation of sediment, division of chemical elements in lake sediment and its affecting factors.
