The present Bachelor paper focuses on the influence of Modernism upon the novelist and feminist Virginia Woolf’s concepts of the form and plot of the contemporary novel. To achieve the aim of the Present paper, its author explored a number of narrative techniques applied by Virginia Woolf in her two notable novels Mrs. Dalloway and Orlando: A Biography. Besides, the attention was paid to the writer’s feminist views. In the result, that allowed to trace her intentions to create a new novel that is written by a woman and is more real and independent literary work than the novels of the previous centuries.
The following words are the key words of the Present paper: Modernism, techniques of writing, experimental, feminism.
