Abstract

Darba Simbolu un saīsinājumu izmantošana piezīmēs mērķis ir pētīt konsekutīvās tulkošanas piezīmju rakstīšanā izmantojamos saīsinājumus un simbolus, to praktisko pielietojumu piezīmju rakstīšanā. Simbolu un saīsinājumu izmantošana piezīmēs būtiski mazina laika patēriņu, ļauj pierakstīt idejas un jēdzienus, nevis vārdus un mazina tulka īslaicīgās atmiņas noslogojumu, tā uzlabojot vispārējo sniegumu. Praktiskajā daļā redzamas simbolu un saīsinājumu izmantošanas iespējas un priekšrocības. Simbolu un saīsinājumu lietošanas piemēri piezīmju rakstīšanas procesā sniegti 3 pielikumos.

The purpose of the diploma paper Use of Symbols and Abbreviations in Note-Taking was to examine the abbreviations and symbols that can be used in note-taking for consecutive interpreting and their use in practice. Use of symbols and abbreviations significantly reduces the time spent on note-taking and allows to note down ideas and concepts, not mere words. It also reduces the load put on the interpreter’s short-term memory, thus enhancing the performance in general. Possibilities and benefits of using symbols and abbreviations are shown in chapter 4. examples of how symbols and abbreviations can be used in practice are given in three annexes.
