Abstract
The research of Shiitake L.edodes and G.lucidum mushroom biological properties is the one of LU Microbiology and Biothenology department research directions. L.edodes and G.lucidum mushrooms contain plenty of biologicaly active substances, that can improve the health and some of mushroom extracts has antimicrobial activity. In this bachelor thesis were examined L.edodes and G.lucidum mushroom various extract impact on Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, as well as microscopic mushroom Candida sp. In the research were used following methods: non-direct contact method – agar diffusion; and some direct contact methods like drop method, bacteria growing on H agar with extract and bacteria growing in liquid media. Antimicrobial activity was observed only using direct contact methods. As well was determined minimal inhibitive concentration for L.edodes mushroom extracts. Shiitake extract antimicrobial activity remain for about 1.5 – 2 months stored in +4°C.
