Programmatūras izstrāde Maemo ierīcēm

Abstract

Šī pētījuma aktualitāte pamatojas pieaugošajā viedtālruņu popularitātē. Iegultā Linux popularitāte viedtālruņu ražotāju vidū turpina pieaugt. Nokia jau kopš 2005. gada beigām tirgū ir laidusi mobilas, Linux bāzētas ierīces – Interneta planšetdatorus. Nokia tajos izmantoja Maemo operētājsistēmu. Kopš 2009. gada beigām Maemo tiek izmantots arī Nokia N900 viedtālrunī. Pētījuma mērķis ir dot vispārēju ieskatu Maemo problemātikā. Pētījuma gaitā tiks apskatīta Maemo vēsture, Maemo ierīces, Maemo arhitektūra, Maemo izstrādes vide, kā arī Maemo tuvākā nākotne. Pētījuma rezultātā tiks izstrādātas un adaptētas vairākas programmas, tai skaitā automātiskā atbildētāja logrīks un interneta protokola tīmekļkameras logrīks, demonstrējot cik vienkārši ir izmantot Linux programmatūru Maemo. Tāpat tiks izstrādāts N900 latviešu valodas atbalsts.

Research topicality is based on growing smartphone popularity. Embedded Linux popularity amongst smartphone producers keeps growing as well. Nokia since end of 2005 introduced into the market Linux based mobile devices – Internet Tablets. Nokia used in them Maemo operating system. Since end of 2009 Maemo is used in Nokia N900 smartphone. Research objective is to give overview of Maemo. During the research, Maemo history, Maemo devices, Maemo architecture, Maemo development environment and Maemo near future will be analyzed.. After research, a couple of applications will be developed, including auto answering widget and Internet web camera widget, demonstrating how easy it is to port Linux software to Maemo. The Latvian language support will be added to N900 as well.
