Bakalaura darbā apkopota informācija par klastiskā un karbonātu materiāla uzkrāšanos seklās jūrās, deltās un estuāros, kā arī rekonstruēti sedimentācijas apstākļi devona Tērvetes-Žagares laikposmos. Darba veikšanai tika dokumentēti 4 atsegumi, uzzīmēti 3 ģeoloģiskie griezumi, izgatavoti un pētīti 16 plānslīpējumi. Secināts, ka Tērvetes laikposmā bija estuāru apstākļi, Sniķeres laikposmā jūras piekrastē notika jaukta sastāva klastiskā un karbonātu sedimentācija. Tās iezīmes saglabājās arī Žagares laikposmā, kad tomēr pārsvarā uzkrājās karbonātiskas nogulas un dzīvoja daudzveidīgi organismi. Tērvetes un Žagares svītā ir atrastas plūdmaiņu pazīmes.

Bachelor’s paper summarizes information about clastic and carbonate deposits in shallow seas, deltas and estuaries, as well as deals with reconstruction of sedimentary environment in the Devonian Tērvete-Žagare times. Four outcrops were documented, three geological sections drawn, and 16 thin-sections made and studied. It is concluded that during the Tērvete time estuaries developed, during the Sniķere time mixed clastic to carbonate sedimentation took place in sea coastal zone. Such an environment episodically existed also in next Žagare time, however this time was dominated by carbonate sedimentation and development of various organisms. Indications of tidal processes have been found in the Tērvete and Žagare formations.
