Ekspresīvo tekstu tulkošanas īpatnības

Abstract

Tulkošanas zinātne aplūko un skaidro dažādu tulkojamo tekstu veidu teorētiskās un praktiskās īpašības, kuras ir skaidri noteiktas katrā no tekstu veidiem, saskaņā ar teksta vēstījuma nodomu, valodas kvalitāti, komunikatīvo situāciju un satura pasniegšanas manieri. Ekspresīvie teksti ir viens no tekstu veidiem, kas līdzās informatīvajiem, apelatīvajiem un audio-mediju tekstiem ieņem stabilu disciplināru pozīciju tulkošanas teorijā. Tulkotāja profesionālā kompetence nosaka, ka ikvienam tulkotājam jāpārzina tulkojamo tekstu teorija un jāpiemīt gatavībai veikt sarežģīta līmeņa tekstu, materiālu un dokumentu tulkošanu. Kvalifikācijas darba teorētiskā pamatojuma un praktiskā pētījuma nolūks ir paaugstināt tulkotāja valodas kvalitāti, paplašināt teorētisko tulkošanas aspektu zināšanas, kā arī praktiski apgūt tulkojamā teksta veida struktūru un turpināt attīstīt praktiskās tulkošanas iemaņas, pielietojot prasmi praktiski izmantot dažādus tulkošanas līmeņus un metodes. Kvalifikācijas darba hipotēze norāda – ekspresīvo tekstu veidam un tā tulkošanai ir noteikts teorētiskais pamatojums, kas nosaka to raksturīgo pazīmju ievērošanu un īpašu pieeju pielietošanu praktiskajā tulkošanas procesā. Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir teorētiski un praktiski pamatot ekspresīvo tekstu būtību, funkcionālo nepieciešamību un nozīmi tulkošanas sfērā. Kvalifikācijas darba struktūru veido četras nodaļas un divpadsmit apakšnodaļas; pielikums ietver oriģinālvalodas un mērķvalodas teksta paraugus – Salmana Rušdi stāsta „Pravieša mats” oriģināltekstu un tulkojumu. Pirmajā nodaļā apkopotas un analizētas ekspresīvo tekstu formāli raksturojošās īpašības un tulkošanas nosacījumi. Otrā nodaļa ietver ekspresīvo tekstu lingvistiskās funkcionalitātes raksturojošo īpašību un daiļliteratūras valodas tulkošanas nosacījumu skaidrojumu. Trešā nodaļa aplūko teksta stilistiski semantiskās pazīmes un tulkošanas nosacījumus. Ceturtā nodaļa sniedz tulkošanas grūtību un īpatnību analīzi, kas veikta pēc praktiska ekspresīvā teksta parauga tulkojuma. Secinājumos formulētas ekspresīvo tekstu raksturīgākās pazīmes un to tulkošanas izcelsme, kā arī formulētas konstatētās ekspresīvā teksta parauga tulkojuma grūtības un īpatnības.

The translation science deals with the theoretical qualification and practical characteristics of different types of text, each of which has its own strictly stated intention, language quality, communicative situation, and the way of presenting the content. The expressive texts is one of the text types, which amongst the other types of texts – informative, operative, audio medial takes its stable scientific position. The professional aptitude of the translator requires the awareness and professional preparedness to cope with complex level texts, materials, and documents. The purpose of the elaboration of the theoretical background and practical research of the qualification paper was done in order to promote the translator’s language quality, extend the knowledge of the theoretical translation aspects and practically master the structure of the translated text within both translation directions – target text and source text, as well as to carry on the practical skills of applying different language levels and methods. The hypothesis of the qualification paper states – the type of the expressive texts and its translation has a particular theoretical foundation, which determines the consideration of the characteristics and the appliance of peculiar approaches within the practical translation process. The aim of the qualification paper is to base theoretically and practically the nature and the functional necessity and meaning of the expressive texts within the translation field. The qualification paper comprises four chapters and twelve sub-chapters; the appendix includes the source text and target text – practically provided translation of Salman Rushdie’s short story “The Prophet’s Hair”. The first chapter reveals the formal characteristics and translation conditions of the expressive texts. The second chapter deals with the linguistic characteristics and functionality of the expressive texts and translation conditions of the literary style. The third chapter deals with stylistic and semantic characteristics and translation conditions. The fourth chapter provides the analyses of the translation difficulties and peculiarities within the practically realized translation of the expressive text pattern. The conclusions state the theoretical characteristics of the expressive texts and the origin of the translation, as well as provide with the translation peculiarities and difficulties of the translation process of the expressive text pattern.
