Snūkera terminoloģijas tulkošanas aspekti

Abstract

Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt snūkera terminoloģiju un izvērtēt tās pieejamību latviešu valodā, kā arī sadarbībā ar nozares speciālistiem sastādīt vienotu snūkera terminu glosāriju. Darbā veikta terminoloģijas teorijas un terminu veidošanas principu izpēte, izvērtēta pašreizējā situācija saistībā ar snūkera terminoloģiju latviešu valodā, analizēta LZA TK sastādītā Sporta vārdnīca un pieejamie interneta resursi. Autore vērojusi spēles klātienē, tikusies ar vairākiem snūkera speciālistiem. Sadarbībā ar LRBF veikta 33 snūkera spēlētāju aptauja un apkopoti rezultāti. Darba izstrādes laikā autore pārliecinājās, ka snūkera terminoloģija latviešu valodā nav pietiekami attīstīta, un tajā dominē aizguvumi. Aptaujājot snūkera speciālistus autore konstatēja, ka snūkera terminoloģijas attīstīšana un apkopošana latviešu valodā ir ļoti aktuāla.

This Master’s thesis aims to study the snooker terminology and evaluate its availability in Latvian and in collaboration with field experts to compile a snooker’s glossary of terms. In the thesis, a study of the theory of terminology and principles of the term formation is carried out. The situation with the snooker terminology in Latvian is evalutated. The sports dictionary compiled by LZA TK and the available internet resources are analyzed. The author has watched the games in person, she has met face-to-face with several snooker professionals. In collaboration with the LRBF, a survey of 33 snooker players is carried out and the results are compiled. During development of the thesis, the author has come to the conclusion that the snooker terminology in Latvian is not developed enough and borrowings are dominant in it. Surveying the snooker professionals, the author had found that the development and compiling of the snooker terminology in Latvian is very topical.
