Valsts un pašvaldību sociālie pabalsti

Abstract

Latvijā pēdējos gados notiek straujas pārmaiņas, palielinās inflācija, pieaug iekšzemes kopprodukts u.c. ekonomikas attīstības rādītāji. Tādējādi valstij ir jādomā par dzīves līmeņa uzlabošanu, tas arī tiek darīts un tiek palielinātas algas, iedzīvotāji spētu apmierināt savas primārās vajadzības. Tomēr inflācijas un algu palielinājums ir nesamērīgs un tādējādi Latvija vēl joprojām atrodas pēdējā vietā ES valstu vidū - nabadzības līmenī. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt sociālo politiku, tās virzienus, kā arī apskatīt Latvijas ekonomisko attīstību un izanalizēt vienu no sociālās politikas virzieniem – sociālo palīdzību. Analizēta ir Olaines pašvaldība, tās izsniegtie pabalsti, to apmēri, izsniegšanas kārtība.

Rapid changes are taking place in Latvia during the last years, the inflation is rising, gross domestic product as well as other indicators of the economic development are increasing. Therefore the government has to consider the improving the level of life; this is being realised, and the wages are being increased so that the population could satisfy their primary needs. However, the rise of the inflation and the increase of the wages is not proportional and thus Latvia still remains the last among the EU member states as regards the level of poverty. The objective of the work is to explore social policy, its trends as well as to examine the economic development of Latvia and analyse one of the fields of social policy, namely, social assistance. The analysis concerns Olaine local government, the allowances it has granted, their amount and the procedure of granting.
