Izpētītas Ge nanovadu elektriskās īpašības un to degradācijas parametri. Novērota kritiskās strāvas blīvuma atkarība no to aptverošā oksīda slāņa biezuma. Apspriests iespējamais nanovadu degradācijas mehānisms. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) are perspective in force and mass sensor applications. Despite the fact, that with NEM devices the mass of individual atoms has been measured, a controled transfer of mass onto the active element that would allow a qualitative mass measurement has not been shown. Force control is also needed in NEM switches, whose behaviour depends on electric, adhesion and van der Waals forces. The properties of Ge and ZnO nanowires have been investigated to determine the boundaries of their application. A system was made for in situ measurments in scanning electron microscope. The Young’s modulus dependance on ZnO nanowires diameter was determined. The Ge nanowire’s critical current density’s dependance on the width of the surface layer was observed. The potential degradation mechanism of Ge nanowires was discussed. | en_US |
