Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Herbivotu fenomens mūsdienu Japānas sabiedrībā” tiek apskatīts zālēdāju, jeb herbivoru vīriešu fenomens Japānā. Herbivori, jeb zālēdāji ir nesenos gados radies termins, kas tika radīts, lai apzīmētu jaunu vīriešu paaudzi Japānā, kas atsakās pakļauties tradicionālajiem uzskatiem par vīrišķību, neizrāda interesi par sievietēm, laulībām un karjeras veidošanu korporatīvajā pasaulē, bet labprātāk velta laiku sev, iepirkšanās kūrēm, saldumu ēšanai un sevis kopšanai.Termins sākotnēji tika radīt, lai apzīmētu vīriešus, kurus neinteresē sievietes miesa, tieši tādēļ viņi tika nosaukti par zāli ēdošiem puišiem, jeb soushokukei - danshi.The bachelor thesis "Japanese Herbivore men Phenomenon in Contemporary Japanese Society” analyses phenomenon of grass eating men or herbivores in Japanese society. Herbivores or grass eating men is a term that was coined a few years back to describe a new generation of man in Japan who refuse to live by traditional beliefs of masculinity, don't show any interest in women, marriage or making career in corporate Japan. They are more likely to spend their time on themselves, shopping sprees, eating sweets and grooming. The term was originally made to describe men that are not interested in female flesh, which is why they were called grass eaters or soushokukei-danshi.
