Meža nozares terminu atveides problēmas

Abstract

Diplomdarba „Meža nozares terminu atveides problēmas” uzdevums ir veikt meža nozares valodas un terminu analīzi. Diplomdarbs sastāv no trīs nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā nozares terminoloģijas jautājumi tiek apskatīti starptautiskā kontekstā, izmantojot atziņas, kas gūtas starptautiskās konferencēs par meža nozares terminoloģijas jautājumiem. Otrajā nodaļā sniegta informācija par nozares tulkošanas palīglīdzekļiem, savukārt trešajā nodaļā tiek analizēta meža nozares valoda, izmatojot autores tulkotus dokumentus. Diplomdarbā tiek izvirzīta hipotēze: meža nozares procesiem ir raksturīga tehnoloģiska specifika, tādēļ tulkotājs nespēj kvalitatīvi iztulkot tekstu bez pamatzināšanām par šo nozari vai speciālistu konsultācijām, īpaši ja tekstā ir ietverti meža nozares termini. Veicot valodas analīzi, autore pierādīta izvirzīto hipotēzi.

The Diploma Paper „Problems of Rendering Forest Sector Terminology„ is devoted to forest sector terminology issues. This study’s aim is to analyze forest sector language and terminology. This Diploma Paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter highlights forest sector terminology issues in the context of global development. The author uses findings of terminology conferences. Chapter Two provides information on translation tools. Chapter Three provides language analysis based on the author’s translated documents. The author proposes the following hypothesis: the forest sector processes are quite specific, and without background knowledge or consultations with forest sector professionals it is impossible to render texts involving forest sector terminology. By this study and language analysis, the author proves the hypothesis.
