„Vientuļsalas” motīvs angļu literatūrā

Abstract

Dotais pētījums ir veltīts vientuļas salas motīvam angļu ceļojumu literatūrā. Tās nolūks ir atklāt virzienus, kuri attīstās, degradē vai atrod jaunas morālas vērtības vientuļas salas ekstremālajos apstākļos par ko liecina izpētīto literāro darbu galvenie varoņi. Tā vietā lai saktu pētīšanu, autors pārbaudīja vairākas grāmatas, rakstus un Interneta resursus, ka arī izmantoja pats savas idejas, strādājot ar pētīšanas tematu. Rezultātā tika pārbaudīta un izpētīta vientuļas salas motīvu angļu literatūrā attīstība sakot no pirmajiem arābu autoru darbiem līdz XX gs. sacerētiem daiļdarbiem. Tādā veidā bija izpētītas dažādas interpretācijas un izpratnes par indivīda izdzīvošanu vientuļas salas ekstremālajos apstākļos, ka to uztvēra dažādu vēsturisko laikmetu un dažādas mentalitātes autori. -

The present research is dedicated to island fiction in English travel literature. Its purpose is to reveal ways, according to which main characters of the researched literary works develop, degrade or find new moral values in the extreme conditions of a lonely island. In order to make the research, the author examined different books, articles and Internet sources, as well as using his own ideas, acquired while working on the theme of the research. As a result the development of island fiction in English literature from the first influences by Arabic authors to works composed in the 20th century was examined and researched. Thus the interpretations and understanding of the issue of an individual trying to survive on a deserted island, by the authors of different historical epoch and of different mentalities were examined. -
