Izvirzīta hipotēze: jūrnieku veselības aprūpes riski atkarīgi no veselības aprūpes pieejamības.
Darbā izmantotas kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā pētniecības metodes. Pētniecības instrumenti ir protokols un anketa.
Maģistra darbs sastāv no 4 nodaļām, 3 apakšnodaļām teorētiskajā daļā, pētnieciskās daļas un 11 pielikumiem. Darbā izmantoti 68 literatūras avoti.
Analizējot iegūtos rezultātus, var secināt, ka jūrnieku veselības aprūpē pastāv riski: trūkst informācijas apmaiņas starp ģimenes ārstiem un jūrnieku ārstiem, ierobežotas ārstēšanās iespējas uz kuģa, diagnostikas grūtības, ģeogrāfiskā izolētība, kuri ietekmē veselības aprūpes pieejamību.
Atslēgvārdi: jūrnieki, veselības aprūpe, riski, veselības aprūpes pieejamība. The theme of the Master’s thesis is „The risks of seamen’s health care”. The actuality is based on necessity to define the risk factors which influence the seamen’s health care.

There are used the qualitative and quantitative research methods. Research tool is the protocol and quastionannaire.
The Master’s thesis consists of 4 chapters, 3 subchapters in theoretical part, research part and 11 attachments. There are used 68 literature sources.
Analyzing the obtained results, it can be concluded that there are such risks in seamen’s health care: there is no information exchange between the family doctor and the seamen’s doctor, there are limited treatment possibilities on the ship, difficulties in diagnostics, geographical isolation which make the availability of health care slower.
The keywords: seamen’s, health care, risks, health care availability.
