Disfunkcionāla ģimene Kadzuo Išiguro romānā „Negūtais mierinājums”

Abstract

Būtiska un psiholoģiski postoša disfunkcionālas ģimenes ietekme uz cilvēku ir viena no nozīmīgākajām tēmam, kura atspoguļota Kadzuo Išiguro romānā „Negūtais mierinājums”. Maģistra darba mērķis ir izanalizēt romāna galvenā personāža Raidera ģimenē pastāvošas disfunkcionālās attiecības. Veiktais pētnieciskais darbs pēta dažādus aspektus, kas pastāv Raidera disfunkcionālajās attiecībās ar viņa pašreizējo ģimeni. Darbs demonstrē, ka Raidera disfunkcionālās attiecības ar viņa sievu un dēlu, faktiski izriet no paša Raidera nelaimīgas un disfunkcionālās bērnības. Lai kaut kādā veidā varētu kontrolēt emocionāli mokošo situāciju, ko Raidera vecāki radīja viņam, Raiders neapzināti iemācījās kontrolēt savas jūtas un emocijas, bloķējot tās. Raidera galvenā problēma ir tāda, ka viņš neapzināti pielieto tos pašus psiholoģiskos uzvedības modeļus arī attiecībās ar savu sievu un dēlu, tāda veidā pārvēršot savu ģimeni par disfunkcionālo ģimeni. Pētnieciskais darbs pamatojas uz romāna praktisko analīzi un citu attiecīgu teorētisko materiālu pielietošanu, tādu kā psiholoģijas, sociālās psiholoģijas un psihoanalīzes teorijas izpētīšanu.

One of the major themes in Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel The Unconsoled focuses on the profound and damaging psychological impact that a dysfunctional family makes on an individual. Thus, the goal of the current master thesis is to analyze the dysfunctional family relationships of the novel’s protagonist Mr Ryder. The carried out research highlights the different aspects of Mr Ryder’s dysfunctional relationship with his current family. It demonstrates that Ryder’s dysfunctional relationship with his wife and his son actually stems from Ryder’s own unhappy and dysfunctional childhood. In order to control the emotionally stressful and painful situation that his parents created for him, Ryder unconsciously learned to control and repress his true feelings and emotions. However, the main problem lies in the fact that Ryder applies the same behavioural patterns of defence in his relationship with his wife and son, thus, rendering his current family a dysfunctional one. The current research is based on the practical analysis of the novel and the discriminative use of the theoretical materials relevant to the subject of the paper, such as, the psychological and psychoanalytical critical theory.
