Lielpilsēta kā estētisks fenomens 20. Gadsimta pirmajā pusē

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Lielpilsēta kā estētisks fenomens 20. gadsimta pirmajā pusē” tiek apskatīta lielpilsētas ieteikme uz estētiku 20. gadsimta sākumā. Lielās pilsētas, jeb metropoles, mūsdienās ir izplatīta un pazīstama parādība, bet urbanizācijas uzplaukums pirms simts gadiem izraisīja zināmas pārmaiņas mākslā, un ir vēljoprojām aktuāls lauks pētījumiem kultūrzinātņu jomā. Bakalaura darbā tiek pētīta lielpilsētas, kā estētiska fenomena, attīstība no tās sākuma 19. gadsimtā, līdz tās uzplaukumam 20. gadsimta pirmajā pusē. Darba mērķis ir, ņemot par piemēru romānus „Berlīne, Aleksandra laukums” un „Manhetenas transfērs”, aprakstīt, kā un kāpēc lielpilsēta 20. gadsimta sākumā ietekmēja estētiskos procesus, un no moderno teoriju un koncepciju par lielpilsētām skatupunkta izpētīt šī īpašā fenomena ieteikmi uz literatūru, mākslu un kino.

The Bachelor Thesis “Metropolis as an aesthetic phenomenon of the first half of the 20th century” deals with the influence of the major cities on the aesthetic processes in the beginning of the 20th century. The major cities, or metropolis, are a common and well known phenomenon nowadays, but the urbanization boom a hundred years ago created certain shifts in the aesthetic field, and is still a relevant field for research in the sphere of cultural sciences. The thesis explores the development of the metropolis as an aesthetic phenomenon from it’s beginning in the 19th century until it’s bloom in first half of the 20th century. The aim of this work is to describe in what way and for what reason have the major cities influenced the aesthetik processes in the beginning of the 20th century based on the example of „Berlin Alexanderplatz” and „Manhattan Transfer” and to research the impact of this phenomenon on literature, art and cinema from the point of view of modern concepts and theories about the major cities.
