Attīstības sfēras terminoloģija un mutvārdu tulkošana

Abstract

Diplomdarba mērķis ir apkopot un izpētīt pašreizējo attīstības sfēras terminoloģiju angļu un latviešu valodās, izveidojot ar attīstības sfēru saistītu terminu vārdnīcu. Latvijas Republikas iesaiste attīstības nozarē ir veicinājusi arī nepieciešamību pēc jaunas, atbilstošas terminoloģijas, kas ietekmē arī tulku un tulkotāju darbu. Diplomdarbs apraksta mutvārdu tulkošanas veidus un tulkam nepieciešamās prasmes, ietver Latvijas terminoloģijas vēsturi un galvenos principus tulka darbā ar terminoloģiju, kā arī apraksta attīstības sfēras izveidošanos un terminu radīšanas principus, lietojot piemērus angļu un latviešu valodās. The goal of the diploma paper is to gather and assess the current development terminology in Latvian and English, creating a glossary of development issues related terms. Involvement of the Republic of Latvia in development sphere has fostered the need for adopting new terminology that also affects the work of translators and interpreters. The diploma paper discusses interpreting modes and necessary competences for interpreters, history of terminology in Latvia and guiding principles for interpreters’ work with terminology as well as describes the emergence of the development sphere and contains the principles of term creation by using examples from English and Latvian languages. A glossary on development issues terms can be found in Annex 1.
