Saslimšana ar gripu bieži izraisa smagas komplikācijas, īpaši bērniem un gados veciem cilvēkiem. Tāpēc svarīgi ir, laicīgi uzsākt profilaktiskos pasākumus gripas ietekmes mazināšanai. Bakalaura darbs tika izstrādāts ar mērķi: izpētīt iedzīvotāju līdzestību gripas profilaksē un izvirzīta pētījuma hipotēze: iedzīvotāju līdzestība gripas profilaksē ir nepietiekama. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no teorētiskās un praktiskās daļas.
Pētījuma gaitā tika analizēts Nolas Penderes veselības veicināšanas modelis, apskatīta literatūra par gripu, līdzestību, profilaksi. Pētījuma ietvaros tika izstrādāts kvantitatīvās pētniecības instruments – anketa, kurā piedalījās 100 respondenti, no kuriem 73 bija sievietes un 27 vīrieši, vecumā no 18 – 50 un vairāk gadiem.
Pētījuma rezultāti liecina, ka hipotēze ir apstiprinājusies - lielākā daļa aptaujāto dalībnieku neņem vērā ārsta ieteikumus, kā arī nav līdzestīgi gripas profilaksē.

Therefore, it is important to timely initiate preventative activities to reduce the impact of flu. Bachelor’s paper was developed with the aim to study the population participation in flu prevention and highlighted research hypothesis population participation in flu prevention is unsatisfactory.

During the research, was analyzed Nola Pender health promotion model, viewed literature about the flu, participation, prevention. During the research was developed the quantitative research instrument - the questionnaire, in which took part 100 respondents , of whom 73 were women and 27 were men, in ages from 18 to 50 years or more .
The research results show that the hypothesis is confirmed - a majority of respondents do not care for the doctor's recommendations, and do not take participation in flu prevention.
