Latvijas studentu korporāciju vērtības: korporācijas Daugaviete piemērs

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Latvijas studentu korporāciju vērtības: korporācijas Daugaviete piemērs”. Kopš 20. gadsimta sākuma, Latvijas studentu korporācijas nezaudē savu pievilcību no studentu puses, pierādot, ka korporāciju vērtības ir aktuālas dažādos vēsturiskajos laika periodos. Studentu korporāciju kā organizāciju specifika ir noslēgta tipa struktūra, tādēļ korporācijas kā pētījumu objekts ir maz pētītas. Ņemot vērā minēto, bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas studentu korporāciju vērtības, to veidošanās kontekstu un nosacījumu, kā arī pārņemšanas mehānismu, pievēršoties konkrētās korporācijas piemēra – studenšu korporācijas Daugaviete – vērtību izpētei. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no darba teorētiskās un empīriskās daļas. Teorētiskajā daļā autore aplūko organizācijas kultūras konceptu, vērtību jēdzienu un teorijas, socializācijas procesu organizācijā, Latvijas studentu korporāciju vēsturi un ideoloģiju. Darba rezultātu un diskusijas daļā atspoguļoti kontentanalīzes, fokusgrupu diskusijas, karoga dziesmas un vapeņa apraksta analīzes rezultāti. Lai sasniegtu bakalaura darba mērķi un apstiprinātu pieņēmumu, tika izmantota kvalitatīvā pētījuma metode – fokusgrupu diskusijas, kontentanalīze, karoga dziesmas un vapeņa apraksta analīze, kā arī literatūras izpēte. Bakalaura darba autore veica trīs fokusgrupu diskusijas ar dažādu korporācijas statusu loceklēm, kas pārstāv dažādas vecuma un specialitāšu grupas. Tika veikta Latvijas studentu korporāciju devīžu kontentanalīze, fokusgrupu diskusijas rezultātā iegūto datu, korporācijas Daugaviete karoga dziesmas un vapeņa apraksta analīze, izmantojot pamatojuma teoriju un bakalaura darba teorētiskajā daļā sniegtās teorētiskās pieejas. Bakalaura darbā izvirzītais pieņēmums tika apstiprināts un pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka studenšu korporācijas Daugaviete dažāda statusa locekles par galveno korporācijas vērtību uzskata vienotību. Iegūtās teorētiskās un empīriskās zināšanas ļauj secināt, ka korporācijas ir īpašas organizācijas, kas sevī apvieno formālo un neformālo struktūru. Bakalaura darba autore secina, ka vērtības ir pamats studenšu korporācijas Daugaviete darbībai. Vērtību ieaudzināšanas nosacījums korporācijā ir ideoloģiskais pamats, kas ir priekšnosacījums dominējošajam attīstības principam korporācijā un mijiedarbībai locekļu starpā, kas savukārt ir galvenie vērtību ieaudzināšanas un internalizēšanas mehānismi.

The title of The Bachelor Paper is „Values of Latvian Students’ Fraternities and Sororities: the Case of Sorority Daugaviete”. Since the beginning of the 20th century Latvian students’ fraternities and sororities have not lost the attraction of the students, proving that values of fraternities and sororities are topical through different historical periods. The specificity of fraternities and sororities is a closed type of structure hence there are only few researches on fraternities and sororities. Considering the mentioned things, the main aim of The Bachelor Paper is to explore values of Latvian students’ fraternities and sororities, the context and conditions of the development and the adoption mechanism, focusing on the study of values of the particular case - sorority Daugaviete. The Bachelor Paper consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part of The Bachelor Paper investigates the concept of organizational culture, the concepts and theories of values, the process of socialization in the organization, the history and ideology of Latvian students’ fraternities and sororities. Empirical part of the Bachelor Paper reflects the results of analysis of the contentanalysis, focus groups, the song of sorority’s Daugaviete flag and the description of the coat of arms. In order to achieve the aim of The Bachelor Paper and to prove the assumption, the author has used a qualitative research method – focus groups, the contentanalysis, the analysis of the song of sorority’s Daugaviete flag and the description of the coat of arms, as well as, the study of theoretical literature. The author of The Bachelor Paper conducted three focus groups with the members of three different statuses of sorority Daugaviete who represent different age and professions’ groups. The content analysis of the mottos of Latvian students’ fraternities and sororities, the analysis of data gathered by the focus groups, the analysis of the song of sorority’s Daugaviete flag and the description of the coat of arms were carried out using the grounded theory and the theoretical approaches expounded in the theoretical part of The Bachelor Paper. The assumtion of the Bachelor Paper was proved and the results of the research show that members of different statuses of the sorority consider unity as the main value of sorority Daugaviete. The results of the theoretical and empirical research show that students’ sororities and fraternities are specific organizations which combine formal and informal structures. The author of The Bachelor Paper concludes that values are the base of the functioning of sorority Daugaviete. The main condition of inculcation of values is the ideological base which is the precondition of the dominant developmental principle and the interaction inside the sorority which in turn are main mechanisms of inculcation and internalization of values.
