Abstract

Ideja piedāvāt datu noliktavu kā pakalpojumu ir kļuvusi par vienu no galvenajām datu noliktavu tendencēm, jo tas varētu dot iespēju samazināt datu noliktavas ieviešanas izmaksas un padarīt to pieejamu arī mazākiem uzņēmumiem. Šajā darbā autore prezentē veikto izpēti "Datu noliktava kā pakalpojums ar Google BigQuery". Darbs ietver pārskatu par pašreizējo stāvokli pētniecībā saistībā ar definēto jomu. Autore izklāsta pētnieciskā projekta mērķus un detalizēti apraksta izvēlēto pētniecības procedūru un metodiku, kas tika izmantota, veicot pētījumus, un tā rezultātus.

Making Data Warehouse as a service had become one of the top trends of Data Warehousing since it could provide the opportunity to minimize the costs of Data Warehouse deployment and make it accessible even for smaller companies. In this article „Data Warehousing As a Service: Limitations and Opportunities” author presented the case study “Data Warehousing as a Service with Google BigQuery”. The thesis includes the overview of the current state of research in respect with the defined scope. Author presented the objectives of the research project and described in details the chosen research procedure and methodology which was used while conducting the research, and the outcome.
