Abstract
Bachelor thesis is written in Latvian, it consists of 39 printed pages, 22 figures, 3 tables and 19 references. Purpose: To evaluate color stimuli perception in periphery while performing near vision task. Method: Purpose-built software was used to evaluate color stimuli perception in peripheral visual field. Subject was asked to name the central stimulus – a letter and to press keyboard button if a stimulus is noticed in periphery. Answers about peripheral stimulus color were obtained orally. Results: All subjects notice easily the smallest stimulus used in this work, but perception of blue stimuli is easier, whereas green – more difficult. Similar results are found in color distinguishing task – blue color is distinguished easier, but green – harder. Keywords: color vision, color perception, peripheral visual field, minimal distinguishable
