Teikumu veidi "Alises piedzīvojumos Brīnumzemē"

Abstract

Šis darbs atspoguļo pētījumu par teikumu veidiem Luisa Kerola grāmatā „Alises piedzīvojumi Brīnumzemē”. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kādus teikumu un palīgteikumu veidus izšķir angļu valodas gramatikā un kuri no tiem ir izmantoti iepriekš minētajā grāmatā, kādas sintaktiska veida īpatnības ir lietotas L. Kerola veidotajos teikumos. Lai sasniegtu darba mērķi, šī darba autore pirmajā daļā aplūko teikumu veidus pēc to struktūras un nolūka, kā arī palīgteikumu veidus, turpretī darba otrā daļa atspoguļo teikumu un palīgteikumu veidu analīzi „Alises piedzīvojumos Brīnumzemē”. Izmantotās metodes ir: literatūras avotu apkopojums, diskursa analīze un kvantitatīvā analīze. Secinājumi rāda, ka- lielākā daļa teikumu pēc to struktūras „Alise piedzīvojumos Brīnumzemē” ir salikti un jaukti salikti teikumi, tomēr pēc to nolūka – apgalvojuma un izsaukuma teikumi. Kas attiecas uz palīgteikumu veidiem, lielāko daļu aizņem laika apstākļa palīgteikumi, papildinātāja palīgteikumi, kā arī apzīmētāja palīgteikumi. Runājot par sintaktiskā veida īpatnībām teikumā, L. Kerols galvenokārt ir izmantojis inversiju (apgriezto vārdu kārtība) un elipsi (kāda teikuma elementa izlaidums). Atslēgas vārdi: teikums, teikuma daļa, teikuma veidi, palīgteikumu veidi, vārdu kārtība.

This paper presents the research of sentence types in the original language in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The aim of this paper is to explore what types of a sentence and a dependent clause there are distinguished in English grammar and which of them occur in the previously mentioned book and also what syntactical peculiarities L. Carroll has used in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In order to do it, the first part of the paper is devoted to the literature review of sentence types according to their structure and purpose, to types of a clause, while the second part displays the practical findings of the analysis of sentence and clause types in the book. The research methods used are: literature review, discourse analysis and quantitative analysis. The conclusions demonstrate that the most frequently used sentence type according to its structure in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a compound sentence and a complex-compound one. According to its purpose, statements and exclamations occur most frequently. What concerns the types of dependent clauses, adverbial clauses of time, object clauses and adjective clauses prevail. Regarding syntactical peculiarities, L. Carroll has mainly used inversions and ellipsis. Key words: sentence, clause, sentence types, types of dependent clauses, word order.
