Learning styles are important components that should be taken into consideration while teaching English to young learners. The goal of the Master Thesis was to find out whether the student-centred learning approach could foster teaching vocabulary to young learners and what learning styles prevailed in the young learners’ classroom. The case study was composed of observations, an interview with a teacher, a questionnaire for young learners and a students’ learning styles survey. The results of the research showed that vocabulary presentation by means of real objects, pictures and flashcards increased the young learners’ interest in the learning process. It is concluded that tasks designed considering the students’ preferred styles of learning could facilitate vocabulary learning.
