Abstract

“Nepakļaušanās iemesli kolorektālā vēža skrīningam, ņemot rezultātus no pilotpētījuma Latvijā” Kolorektālais vēzis ir visbiežāk sastopamais gremošanas trakta vēzis gan pasaulē, gan Latvijā. Sistemātisks skrīnings agrīnai diagnosticēšanai liecina, ka mirstība no CRC samazinās. Skrīninga efektivitāte samazināsies, ja populācija nebūs atbilstoša prasībām. Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt, kādēļ Latvijā cilvēki nevēlas piedalīties kolorektālā vēža skrīningā un salīdzināt iegūtos rezultātus ar vispārēju neatbilstību skrīninga prasībām. Visbiežākie iemesli, kāpēc cilvēki nepiedalās CRC skrīningā, ir laba pašsajūta, bailes no sliktām ziņām un laika trūkums. Šie iemesli atbilst zināmajām skrīninga atbilstības barjerām un pastiprina zināšanas par neatbilstību CRC skrīninga veikšanai, kas ziņoti vairumā pētījumu gan par CRC.

Reasons for non-compliance for colorectal cancer screening from the results of the pilot study in Latvia Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most common cancer of the digestive tract both globally and in Latvia. Mortality from CRC can be decreased by systematic screening. The efficacy of screening will be reduced if population is noncompliant. The aim of the diploma work was to study the reasons for unwillingness to participate in colorectal cancer screening pilot study in Latvia and to compare the results to screening non-compliance in general. The most common reasons for non-participation are feeling well, fear of bad news and lack of time and these correspond to the most common reasons for screening non-compliance reported by several international studies.
