Abstract
Bakalaura darbā „Muzeju loma vietas identitātes veidošanā” pētīta vietas muzeju funkcija veidot identitāti vietā, kurā muzejs atrodas, sekmējot vietējiem iedzīvotājiem apzināties savas vietas identitāti un sniegt informāciju tūristiem, par apmeklētās vietas identitāti.
Darbu veido četras nodaļas. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek apskatīta vietas identitātes teorija ģeogrāfijā, tās mainība laikā. Otrajā nodaļā tiek sniegta teorija par muzeja darbības principiem un muzeju darbību Latvijā. Trešajā nodaļā ir apkopoti materiāli un metodes. Ceturtā nodaļa ir veltīta pētījumam, kurā tiek analizēta vietas muzeju loma vietas identitātes veidošanā. Tiek analizēti piecu vietu muzeji Zemgalē: Aizkraukles, Bauskas, Dobeles, Jēkabpils un Jelgavas muzejs.
Bakalaura darba rezultāti parāda cik liela loma ir muzejam vietas identitātes veidošanā.

The present Bachelor Paper „ Role of Local Museum in the Creation of Place Identity” investigates the local museums role in the creation of place identity, in place where museum located. Encouraging people aware of his place identity and providing information to tourists about identity in visiting place. . Trešajā nodaļā ir apkopoti materiāli un metodes. Ceturtā nodaļa ir veltīta pētījumam, kurā tiek analizēta vietas muzeju loma vietas identitātes veidošanā. Tiek analizēti piecu vietu muzeji Zemgalē: Aizkraukles, Bauskas, Dobeles, Jēkabpils un Jelgavas muzejs. The paper consists of four chapters. In the first chapter is about place identity theory in Geography. Second chapter is about museum basic work and about museums work in Latvia. The third chapter presents the materials and methods used in the Bachelor Paper. The Fourth chapter is museum analyze about them role in the creations of the place. There are five museum analyse in Zemgale district: Aizkraukle, Bauska, Dobele, Jelgava and Jekabpils. The results of the research show the functions of the museums in the creation of place identity.
