dc.description.abstractEvijas Jekševicas bakalaura darbs aplūko cilvēka eksistences tēmu Tomas Hārdija dzejā Satires of Circumstance, Lyrics and Reveries,Miscellaneous, ko sarakstījis viens no izcilākajiem angļu Viktorijas laikmeta autoriem, Tomas Hārdijs. Darbs sastāv no piecām daļām. Pirmajā nodaļā apskatīta Tomasa Hārdija dzīve un Hārdija daiļdarbu kreativitāte, uzsverot reliģijas lomu autora dzīvē un daiļradē. Otrajā nodaļā tiek definētas galvenās tēmas Tomasa Hārdija dzejā, proti, cilvēciskums un cilvēka eksistences tēma. Trešajā nodaļā tiek analizēts Viktorijas laikmets un tā ietekme uz dzejnieka daiļradi. Pēdējās divas nodaļas analizē Hārdija cenšanos nodefinēt cilvēka eksistences būtību, kā psiholoģisku procesu un sevis analīzi, dzejā: : Poems of the Past and the Present as well as in collection Satires of Circumstance, Lyrics and Reveries, with Miscellaneous Pieces. Hārdija dzejas galvenie varoņi meklē savu identitāti, atrisina morālos jautājumus, gūstot gudrību un individuālu pasaules redzējumu.en_US
dc.description.abstractEvijas Jekševicas Bachelor thesis explores the theme of human condition in the collections of poetry Satires of Circumstance, Lyrics and Reveries, with Miscellaneous pieces, written by one of the most prominent English writer of the literature of Victorian era, Thomas Hardy. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter considers the main aspects of Thomas Hardy’s life, the inventory of Hardy’s works and accentuates the atheism of the poet, emphasizing the role of the religious believes in his life and writings. The second chapter discusses major themes in Thomas Hardy’s poetry such as the humanity and human life reality. The third chapter analyses Victorian era and the influence of the era over poet’s works. The last two chapters analyses the writer’s exploration of formation of human condition as psychological process and self – analysis in Hardy’s volume of poetry: Poems of the Past and the Present as well as in the collection Satires of Circumstance, Lyrics and Reveries, with Miscellaneous Pieces. Hardy’s main characters of poetry are searching for identity, solving moral issues and finally gaining wisdom and reaching individual portray of life itself.en_US
