Par galveno problēmu pacienti atzina to, ka viņu veselību ietekmē gan slimības dēļ traucētās

hospital and the main problems which occur when the patient leaves the hospitalization. The
qualitative research method is used in this research. The aim of the work has been reached.
Patients voluntarily told about their problems and shared their feelings about their disease. As the
main problem caused by the disease, patients acknowledged their broken social roles and lost
social status. Patients admitted that the largest part of the society as well as their own relatives do
not understand their disease. Although all inquired patients were with a previous disease
experience, it turned out that many have problems with the life outside the hospital – they do not
use the medicine, do not follow the regime. Thus there is a need to educate the patients as well as
their relatives.
Key words: patient, nurse, depression, nursing, education, social factors.
