RTU disertāciju un maģistra darbu datubāzes izstrāde un integrēšana BIS ALEPH 500

Abstract

Maģistra darba temats ir RTU disertāciju un maģistra darbu datubāzes izstrāde un integrēšana BIS ALEPH 500. RTU ZB pieredze rāda, ka RTU disertācijas un maģistra darbi ir pieprasīti bibliotēkas lietotāju vidū, bet elektroniskais katalogs neapmierina lietotāju specifiskos meklēšanas pieprasījumus. Informācija par maģistra darbiem katalogā vispār nav atspoguļota. Tas rada nepieciešamību pēc RTU disertāciju un maģistra darbu datubāzes izstrādes. Pētījuma gaitā tika apskatītas jaunākas tendences studentu pētniecisko darbu datubāzu veidošanā Latvijas un ārvalstu bibliotēkās, noskaidrotas lietotāju prasības RTU disertāciju un maģistra darbu datubāzei, uz to pamata izstrādāts datubāzes modelis un izanalizētas datubāzes konfigurēšanas iespējas sistēmā ALEPH 500.

The theme of this master thesis is creation and integration of RTU dissertations and master papers’ database in library information system ALEPH 500. The experience of the Scientific Library of Riga Technical University shows that RTU doctoral and master theses are necessary for the studies in RTU. RTU SL electronic catalog doesn’t satisfy user requirements in dissertation data searching and retrieving. Master theses are not included in the library catalog at all. The goals of this research work is to study Latvian and world libraries experience in creation and development of electronic theses and dissertations databases, to determine user requirements for RTU dissertations and master papers’ database, to create database model and to integrate it in LIS ALEPH 500.
