Abstract
Bakalaura darba „Progress pasaules klimata rīcībpolitikā: ilūzija vai realitāte? Kopenhāgenas un Durbanas klimata konferenču analīze” izpētes jautājums ir kāda attīstība ir novērojama klimata jautājumu risināšanā, salīdzinot Kopenhāgenas un Durbanas klimata konferences. Darba autore izvirza hipotēzi Durbanas klimata konferences laikā tika sasniegts „uzvaras komplekts” pirmajā līmenī, valstu ekonomisko interešu un draudu apzināšanās dēļ.
Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek izmantota Roberta Putnama divu līmeņu spēles teorija, kas tirk papildināta ar Endrjū Moravčika skatījumu uz divu līmeņu spēles teoriju. Darba empīriskajā daļā, tiek analizēta galveno iesaistīto valstu nostāja klimata pārmaiņu jautājumā un konferenču iznākumi gan nacionālā līmenī, gan starptautiskajā sarunu līmenī. Darba noslēgumā hipotēze tiek apstiprināta.
The research question of the bachelor thesis „Progress in world’s climate policy: illusion or reality? Comparative analysis of Copenhagen’s and Durban’s climate change conferences is “what kind of development can be observed in world’s climate policy while comparing Copenhagen’s and Durban’s conferences. Author of thesis promotes hypothesis, it was possible to reach a „win set” at the first level of negotiations, due to considerations of the benefits from economy and possible threats. Two level game theory developed by Robert Putnam is used in the theoretical part of the paper. This framework is improved by Andrew Moravcsik view on the two level game theory. The empirical part of the thesis is based upon the theory and analysis of six states are presented, comparing the changes of national interests and international environment, when comparing two conferences. Hypothesis proposed by the author is approved.
