Bakalaura darba „Interneta lietošanas motīvi un paradumi 10-12 gadīgo bērnu auditorijā” mērķis ir noskaidrot bērnu interneta lietošanas motīvus un paradumus, kā arī vecāku viedokli un ietekmi uz bērnu interneta lietošanas paradumiem un izvēli.
Teorētiskā daļa sastāv no bērnu auditorijas raksturojuma, dažādu autoru mediju lietošanas paradumu un motivācijas teorijām, kā arī potenciālo interneta lietošanas efektu izklāsta.
Pētījumā izmantota kvantitatīvā metode anketēšana un kvalitatīvās fokusa grupu intervijas. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka lielākajai daļai bērnu ir pieejams dators ar interneta pieslēgumu, tas tiek lietots regulāri- vidēji 3-5 stundas dienā. Nozīmīgākie motīvi ir vajadzība paust savu identitāti, izklaidēties, radoši izpausties un uzzināt jaunāko informāciju, kā arī vajadzība komunicēt ar draugiem.
Atslēgas vārdi: bērnu auditorija, internets, motīvi, lietošanas paradumi The aim of the bachelor paper „Internet habits and motives among 10-12 year olds” is to find out the motives and habits of internet usage among children, furthermore to discover the parents' opinion and influence on children's habits and choices of internet usage.
The theoretical part consists of description of children's audience, theories about the habits of media usage and motivation from different authors and the layout of the potential effects of internet usage.
In the research there were used the quantitative method- questionnaire, and the qualitative method- focus group interviews. The results of the research show that the majority of children have access to computer with an internet connection, which is used regularly- on average 3-5 hours a day. The most important motives are the need to express identity, to entertain, to creatively express oneself, to get new information, and also to communicate with friends.
