Maģistra darba tēma ir „Patērētāju uzvedība, veicot pirkumus online vidē un mazumtirdzniecības vietās”.
Autore uzskata šo tēmu par aktuālo, jo interneta veikalu darbība pēdējos gados kļūst par arvien nozīmīgu pārdošanas kanālu starp uzņēmumu un patērētāju.
Tradicionālā patērētāja uzvedība ir diezgan plaši izpētīta, savukārt, tiešsaites patērētāja uzvedība vēl neesot tik dziļi izpētīta, lai varētu prognozēt kā patērētājs rīkosies noteiktā situācijā un kā jārīkojas uzņēmumam, lai piesaistītu viņu sava pastāvīgajā klientu lokā.
Autores maģistra darba mērķis - izpētīt online un tradicionālā patērētāja uzvedības atšķirības nepārtikas preču jomā vietējā tirgū, nosakot kādi faktori spēj ietekmēt patērētāju veikt pirkumus online (interneta veikalos) un tradicionālajās mazumtirdzniecības vietās (vietējos veikalos).
Darbs sastāv no trim nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā autore analizē patērētāju uzvedības būtību, ietekmējošus faktorus, izmantojot teorētiskus materiālus. Otrajā nodaļā autore analīzē tradicionālās un online mazumtirdzniecības (e-komercijas) attīstības tendences pasaulē, tai skaitā arī Latvijā, izmantojot starptautisko organizāciju un LR Centrālās statistikas pārvaldes datus. Trešajā nodaļā autore analīzē aptaujas iegūtus rezultātus un nosaka online un tradicionālā patērētāja uzvedības atšķirības. Noslēguma daļā autore sniedz secinājumus par izpētīto tematu.
Diplomdarbam ir 83 lapaspuses, tajā ir ietvertas 25 tabulas, 29 attēli.
Lai izstrādātu šo darbu tika izmantoti ārzemju zinātniski pētnieciskie raksti, grāmatas, statistikas dati, kā arī interneta resursi.

The author considers this subject as a very important one since internet shops activities in recent years become an increasingly important sales channel between businesses and consumers.
Traditional consumer behaviour is quite well studied, however, online consumer behaviour yet not so deeply explored in order to predict how consumers will act in a certain situation and what actions should the company do to attract them in their circle of permanent clients.
The author master's work aim is to explore traditional and online consumer behaviour differences in non-food products in the domestic market, determining what factors can influence consumers to make purchases online (online stores) and in traditional retail outlets (local shops).
The work consists of three parts. In the first chapter the author analyzes the nature of consumer behaviour, the factors of influence using the theoretical material. In the second chapter the author analyzes the traditional and online retailing (e-commerce) trends in the world, including Latvia, using international organizations and the Central Statistical Bureau data. In the third chapter the author analyzes the survey results and specifies online and traditional consumer behaviour differences. In the concluding section the author draws conclusions about the investigated topic.
Master's work consists of 83 pages and contains 25 tables, 29 images.
To develop this work foreign scientific research articles, books, statistics and Internet resources were used.
