Abstract
Darbs veltīts problēmai, kā veikt grafa hierarhisku izvietošanu, ievērojot grupu
ierobežojumus, ja var būt definēti arī citi ierobežojumi.
Sniegti pamatjēdzieni, aprakstīta grafu zīmēšana un hierarhiskais grafu izvietošanas
stils.
This paper is devoted to the problem of supporting group constraints in hierarchical graph layout in presence of other constraints. After introducing the general concepts, we describe graph drawing and hierarchical layout style, studying the constraints of hierarchical graph drawing. Also, we provide an analysis of existing solutions for supporting group constraints. We propose solutions to the problem while evaluating strengths and weaknesses of alternative approaches. We also show how to use some of these methods for solving other hierarchical graph layout problems. The work is concluded with a summary of main results and a review of questions for further research. Layout examples of random graphs with group constraints are given in Appendix. Most of the proposed solutions have been implemented and verified in Tom Sawyer Layout (USA) product.
