Fotogrāfija kā naratīvu veidojošs paņēmiens T.Findlija romānā „Klaviermeistara meita”

Abstract

Fotoaparātu plašā pieejamība un izplatība ir ietekmējusi mūsdienu sabiedrības realitātes uztveri un atmiņas procesus. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt saikni starp fotogrāfijām un atmiņām un tās atspoguļojumu autobiogrāfijā, kas balstīta uz izdomāta tēla dzīvi, kā ticamības veicinātāju. Darbā tika izmantotas tādas izpētes metodes kā teorētiskās literatūras apskats par fotogrāfiju un tās saistību ar atmiņas procesiem, kā arī T. Findlija romāna „Klaviermeistara meita” (The Piano Man’s Daughter) analīze. Pētījumā tiek secināts, ka stāstījuma izteikti vizuālais izteiksmes veids, kā arī atmiņas procesu atspoguļojums piešķir literārajam darbam patiesumu. Turklāt fiktīvās autobiogrāfijas autentiskumu veicina arī tās līdzība ar ģimenes fotoalbumu. Tādējādi fotogrāfija kā naratīvu veidojošs paņēmiens piešķir stāstījumam autentiskumu un ir uzskatāms par fiktīvās autobiogrāfijas radīšanas metodi.

The ubiquity of camera in a modern society has introduced several innovations in the perception of reality and in the memory processes. The paper aims to examine the connection between photographs and memories and its reflection in fictional autobiography as a promoter of authenticity. Such research methods as theoretical study of literature regarding photography and its link to memory processes as well as discourse analysis of T. Findley’s novel The Piano Man’s Daughter are applied. The research concludes that the visual style of the narrative and the reflection of memory processes add the sense of genuineness to the writing. Moreover, the sensation of authenticity of the fictional autobiography is also achieved through its resemblance to a family photo album. Accordingly, photography as a narrative means is promoting the authenticity of the story, thus is a method for creating a fictional autobiography.
