Japānas izglītības sistēmas izaicinājumi pēdējos 30 gados

Abstract

Šajā darbā ir uzskaitīti un analizēti izaicinājumi, ar kuriem Japānas pamatskolas un vidusskolas ir saskārušās laikā no 1980. gada līdz 2007. gadam, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot 1998. gadā izdotajām Izglītības vadlīnijām un tajās paredzētajām reformām par „mierīgāku izglītību”. Izpētot augšminētās reformas kontekstu un faktorus, kas lika to īstenot, šajā darbā ir mēģināts noskaidrot ar progresīvo izglītību saistīto iniciatīvu potenciālo nākotni Japānā, paredzot, ka progresīvas izglītības vilnis atsāksies, par spīti konservatīvai pretestībai.

This paper enlists and analyses the challenges faced by Japanese elementary and secondary schools in the time period between 1980 and 2007, paying particular attention to the 1998 Course of Study and its envisioned “relaxed education” reform. Through an examination of the reform context and the factors that led to it, this paper attempts to discover the potential future course of progressive education initiatives in Japan, suggesting that there will be a resurgence of progressive education, in spite of conservative resistance.
