The background of the research is based on a rather widely studied field of the differences between British English and American English. The purpose of the research was to carry out the analysis of the varieties of English used in the meeting minutes of multinational enterprises. To achieve the goal there were used both qualitative and quantitative analysis. The goal of the research was to identify the most commonly used variety of English exhibited in the meeting minutes of multinational enterprises and the reasons for its use. It was found out that the differences between both varieties of English can be encountered in grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, spelling. The research revealed that the most common variety of English used in the meeting minutes under discussion is British English. Moreover, the choice of the variety of English used in the meeting minutes was influenced by the location of the parent-country, the origin of the higher management and shareholders, the English used by suppliers, the location of the markets, the bond selling practices and whether the minutes are translated or not.
