Meteoroloģisko sezonu raksturs un to ilglaicīgās izmaiņas Latvijas teritorijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Meteoroloģisko sezonu raksturs un to ilglaicīgās izmaiņas Latvijas teritorijā” ir veikta Latvijas meteoroloģisko sezonu raksturojošo temperatūras rādītāju un to ilgtermiņa izmaiņu analīze. Veicot šo pētījumu, katram gadam periodā no 1950. līdz 2010. gadam tika noteiktas sākuma dienas katrai sezonai desmit Latvijas novērojumu stacijās (NS)- Liepāja, Kolka, Bauska, Saldus, Rēzekne, Rūjiena, Zosēni, Zīlāni, Alūksne un Daugavpils. Literatūras apskatā ir apkopota informācija par sezonalitātes klasifikācijas principiem, dažādiem veidiem, pēc kā noteikt gadalaiku miju. Papildus tam tika apskatīti atmosfēras procesi, kas gada gaitā ietekmē Latvijas klimatu – liela mēroga atmosfēras cirkulācijas un sezonālo gaisa masu ietekme uz vietējo klimatu. Meteoroloģiskās sezonas tika iedalītas četrās kategorijās – rudens (diennakts temperatūra starp 0° un +15°), ziema (diennakts t° zem 0°), pavasaris (diennakts temperatūra starp 0° un +15°) un vasara (diennakts temperatūra virs +15°). Pētījumā tika noskaidrots, ka meteoroloģiskās stacijas augstums virs jūras līmeņa tieši ietekmē meteoroloģisko gadalaiku sākuma datumus un ilgumu (dienās). Pielietojot statistisko analīzi termālo sliekšņu ilgtermiņa izmaiņu identificēšanai, tika noskaidrots, ka meteoroloģiskais pavasaris Latvijā ir kļuvis ievērojami garāks un agrāks, bet ziema – īsāka. Tika iegūts arī rezultāts reģionālā griezumā – pētījuma periodā Kolkas novērojumu stacijā vasara ir kļuvusi ievērojami garāka un agrāka. Bakalaura darba apjoms ir 64 lapaspuses, tajā iekļautas 3 nodaļas un 15 apakšnodaļas. Darbā ir 8 grafiki, 4 kartes, 9 tabulas un 4 pielikumi.

This bachelor thesis “The character and long term changes of the meteorological seasons in Latvia” features an analysis of the thermal characteristics of Latvian meteorological seasons, as well as their long-term thermal change assessment. The first chapter consists of the theoretical background, which covers such topics as large-scale atmospheric circulation patterns, air-mass dynamics within the territory of Latvia, and an overall overview of the types of seasonal classification. The second chapter contains a list and description of methods used in this research, including a detailed overview of the author’s principles for seeking thermal seasonal thresholds and applying them to analysis. The third chapter contains the analysis of results. For the production of this paper 10 meteorological stations were chosen based on geographical diversity. Afterwards the thermal thresholds of meteorological seasons were determined, this included analyzes of each year in every meteorological station, in order to find the four seasonal temperature thresholds. During the first analysis stage, correlations between the station’s geographical properties and thermal season characteristics were made. The second stage consisted of trend analysis for the shift thermal thresholds and the length of the seasons. It was discerned, that the elevation of a meteorological station affects the observed length and onset of spring and winter. It was also apparent that the mean spring duration during the period from 1950 to 2010 has increased, it has also become earlier, but winter seasons have shrunk. Also the data from meteorological station of Kolka showed peculiar results – it is the only meteorological station in which the thermal summer has increased in length and has become earlier. This bachelor’s paper is 64 pages long, it consists of 3 chapters and 15 sub-chapters. It is also complimented by 8 graphs, 4 maps, 9 tables and 4 annex.
