Taumaturģiskie elementi Damaskas Jāņa dzīves aprakstā

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma ir „Taumaturģiskie elementi Damaskas Jāņa dzīves aprakstā”. Darba uzdevums ir aplūkot brīnumu elementus dzīves stāstā par Jāni un to nozīmīgumu reliģiskajā kontekstā. Damaskas Jānis, ikonu teoloģijas aizstāvis, Baznīcas doktors un pēdējais no Austrumu Baznīcas tēviem ir viens no izcilākajām Baznīcas autoritātēm Svētajos Rakstos un dogmatikā. Darbs apskata brīnuma aspekta nozīmīgumu Baznīcu dzīvē. Maģistra darbs sastāv no trīs daļām. Pirmajā daļā tiek skaidrots taumaturģijas jeb brīnuma jēdziens, veicot ieskatu Korānā, Bībelē, kanonos un Damaskas Jāņa dzīves aprakstā. Otrā un trešā daļa veltīta brīnumu elementu apskatei, kā uzklausīta lūgšana, rokas izdziedināšana un Dievmātes parādīšanās un to nozīmīgums reliģija.

The tittle of the master thesis is „Thaumaturgic Elements in the John Damascene Biography”. The goal of the thesis is to examine elements in the biography of John and its importance in the religous context. John of Damascene the icon theology defender, a Doctor of the Church and last Father of the Eastern Church is one of the greatest authorities of the Church in Sacred Writings and dogmatics. The thesis examines the significance of the miracle aspect in the life of Churches. The thesis consists of three parts. In the first part the concept of miracle or thaumaturgic is given explanation, analyzing its role in the Qur’an, Bible, canons and the description of the life of John Damascene’s. The second and third part are dedicated to examination of the miracle elements as answered prayer, miraculous healing and appearing of Virgin Mary and its importance in the religion.
