19.gs beigu 20.gs sākuma grafikas elementu interpretācija mūsdienu grāmatu ilustrācijās

Abstract

Baibas Tropas diplomdarbs grafiskā dizaina nozarē: „19. gs. beigu, 20. gs. sākuma grafikas elementu interpretācija mūsdienu grāmatu ilustrācijās” izstrādāts Latvijas Universitātē, 2015. gadā. Darba autore ir veikusi ornamenta vēstures izpēti, kā arī izpētījusi Arts & Crafts, Jūgendstila un Art Deco vizuālās mākslas stilus un to raksturīgākās iezīmes un māksliniekus. Pētnieciskajā daļā autore apvienoja 3, iepriekš minēto, stilu vienojošās grafiskās pazīmes, lai izpētītu vai mākslinieki mūsdienās tās izmanto. Uzdotais hipotētiskais jautājums tiek apstiprināts, jo autore, izpētot vairākus desmitus mūsdienu mākslinieku, pētnieciskajā daļā apraksta un parāda piemērus, ka tie, lielākoties mūsdienīgā interpretācijā, izmanto 20.gs sākuma stilistiku savās daiļradē. Radošās daļas gala produkts ir mākslinieciskais noformējums dzejas grāmatai „Sapņusakņudārzos”, kuru darba autore veidoja, iedvesmojoties no 19. gs. beigu, 20. gs. sākuma vizuālās mākslas stiliem.

The theme of the research paper by Baiba Tropa is “Interpretation of graphic elements from the end of the 19th century, the beginning of the 20th century in nowadays book illustrations”. The author has investigated the history of ornament and artists and characteristics of visual artistic styles of Arts & Crafts, art nouveau and Art Deco. In the theoretical part the author has combined the common graphical properties of these three styles to investigate if they are used by modern artists. The hypothetical question is confirmed by the author’s investigation of various modern artists who use stylistics of the early 20th century in their illustrations and art works with modern interpretation. In the practical part of the research paper the author, inspired by the artistic styles of the late 19th and the early 20th centuries, has created illustrations for the poem book “Sapņusakņudārzos”.
