Aviācijas terminoloģijas specifika latviešu valodā

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt aviācijas terminoloģijas specifiskās iezīmes un problemātiku latviešu valodā, kā arī apkopot esošos un izstrādāt jaunus aviācijas aerodinamikas terminus un to skaidrojumus, izveidojot pilnvērtīgu jomas terminu bāzi. Darba teorētiskajā daļā apskatīta nozaru terminoloģija un latviešu valodas terminu izstrādes sistēma, prasības un principi. Otrajā nodaļā raksturota aviācijas nozare, tās valodas un terminoloģijas specifika. Darba gaitā intervēti aviācijas nozares speciālisti un terminologi. Izveidots aerodinamikas terminu un to skaidrojumu angļu un latviešu valodas glosārijs. Secināts, ka aviācijas terminoloģija latviešu valodā ir nepilnīga, tādēļ jāveic sistemātiska jaunu terminu izstrāde un jāveicina konsekvence terminu lietojumā.

The aim of this master thesis is to explore particularities and problems of aviation terminology in Latvian language, as well as to gather the existing terms of aerodynamics and their definitions and to develop new terms to create a complete aerodynamics term base. The theoretical part of this thesis outlines industry terminology as well as the system, requirements and principles for development of terms in Latvian language. The second chapter covers characteristics of aviation industry and particularities of its language and terminology. During the research process aviation industry experts and terminologists have been interviewed. Glossary of English and Latvian aerodynamics terms and their definitions are compiled. It has been concluded that aviation terminology in Latvian language is incomplete, therefore development of new terms as well as consistency in terms usage is necessary.
