| dc.description.abstract | Maģistra darba „Profesionālo un daļēji profesionālo pokera spēlētāju identitātes diskurss” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā sabiedrības un pašu spēlētāju viedoklis par pokeru un tā spēlētājiem ietekmē profesionālo un daļēji profesionālo pokera spēlētāju identitāti.
Maģistra darba teorētisko ietvaru veido diskursa teorija, sociālā konstrukcionisma
perspektīva, identitātes jēdziena skaidrojums un azartspēļu un pokera skaidrojums socioloģijā.
Mērķa sasniegšanai tika izmantota kritiskā diskursa analīze, analizējot daļēji strukturētas intervijas un piecu mediju rakstus par azartspēlēm un pokeru.
Pētījuma rezultātā tika noskaidrots, kā azartspēļu un pokera diskurss ietekmē profesionālo un daļēji profesionālo pokera spēlētāju identitāti. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the thesis Discourse of the Professional and Semi-professional Poker
Players' Identity is to find out how the public and players' opinion about poker and its players affects the identity of professional and semi-professional poker players.
Master's thesis consists of the theoretical framework of discourse theory, perspective of social constructionism, the concept of identity and clarification of gaming and poker explanation in sociology.
To accomplish the objective there was used critical discourse analysis, analysing semistructured interviews and articles about gambling and poker from five media sources.
The study showed how gambling and poker discourse affects the professional and semiprofessional poker players' identity. | en_US |
