Abstract
Darba mērķis ir izstrādāt rekomendācijas profesionālās izglītības pievilcības paaugstināšanai. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek analizēti informācijas avoti par profesionālās izglītības pievilcību, noskaidroti faktori, kas pievilcību var ietekmēt, un šī brīža situācija. Profesionālās izglītības pievilcību ietekmē ārēji faktori (valsts ekonomiskais stāvoklis, demogrāfiskās tendences, darba tirgus piedāvājums un pieprasījums) un iekšēji faktori (audzēkņu un absolventu skaits, audzēkņu mācību sasniegumi, informācijas pieejamība un lietderīgums, absolventu iesaistīšanās augstākajā izglītībā). Darba praktiski pētnieciskajā daļā apkopoti un analizēti profesionālās izglītības audzēkņu aptaujās un absolventu telefonaptaujās iegūtie dati, skaidrojot viņu motivāciju izvēloties profesionālo izglītību un attieksmi pret to.
The aim of the work is to develop recommendations to increase appeal of vocational education. In the theoretical part of the work, information sources on the appeal of vocational education are analysed, factors that could impact appeal are identified and current situation is being presented. Appeal of vocational education is impacted by external factors (country’s economic situation, demographic tendencies, situation in the labour market and demand) and external factors (number of students and alumni, student achievements, access to information and its utility, alumni engagement into higher education). In the practical part of the work data obtained from phone interviews with alumni and questionnaires filled in by vocational education students is analysed, explaining their motivation to choose vocational education and attitude towards it.
